Being hopeful is the most crucial aspect of this path to becoming a parent. It’s obvious that being hopeful is easier said than done, but the most important thing is to be cheerful and hopeful, never giving up on the dream of hearing a cute little voice say “father or mother.”

Things to do to Make IVF Successful

Every couple who moves forward with IVF treatment wishes their IVF journey to be a successful one in the first attempt. As a couple, you may keep asking your IVF expert what can be done to maximise chances of success in the 1st cycle itself? But the fact remains the same, there is no guarantee that you will be successful after the first IVF cycle.

But there are several factors that would depend on the success rate of the IVF cycle. So it is important for every couple to increase their chances of success the first thing they need is to start their right as soon as possible and not wait longer.

Couples who have been trying to get pregnant should not wait longer and consult a specialist so that with efforts, the right decision and right treatment can be offered.

We should always understand that “A stitch in time saves nine” means even a small effort made at the right time can save a couple from further pain, distress and anxiety.

  • Maintaining a healthy body

For IVF, maintaining a healthy weight is significant. Being underweight (under 19) makes conception as difficult as being overweight (over 30). Being overweight can affect the chances of fertility as it makes it difficult for the experts to monitor the varies during the treatment. If you are underweight, it may affect your body’s chances to maintain hormones levels and further produce healthy and viable eggs.

Following a proper diet plan can help improve the energy and hormones in the body.

  • Workout is necessary for health

Working out regularly can affect the outcome of IVF. It is recommended to work out at least 30-40 minutes daily, 4-5 days a week. Indulge yourself in any activity like table tennis, badminton, swimming, dancing, or yoga. Exercise can help relieve stress and anxiety, lower blood sugar levels, and control blood pressure. All these activities can help improve the couple’s odds of IVF success.

  • The health of the sperm

Wearing appropriate boxers may help boost the quality of sperm. In addition, there are certain medications that can help boost the quantity and quality of the sperm.

Avocados are filled with monosaturated fats and are high in potassium, vitamin K and folate. Avocado helps your body to absorb vitamins that can help improve the chances of fertility.

Beetroots

Experts suggest that beetroots are known to help with embryo implantation by improving blood flow to the uterus. Consuming beetroot during the IVF treatment may help to improve the chances of conception. Beetroots are rich in antioxidant resveratrol, which may help to aid in the prevention of age-related infertility. Beetroots are filled with nitrate, which may help to enhance and improve the health of the reproductive organs.

What Foods to Avoid to Make IVF Successful

Raw Eggs

Eggs in the raw form are used in many food items like biscuits, in salads, and in mayonnaise. However, a virus called salmonella is found in raw eggs, which may lead to severe food poisoning; therefore, it is suggested to avoid the consumption of eggs in raw form.

Caffeine

Caffeine is like a legal drug that affects your body in many ways. Though it is recommended to avoid consuming too much coffee or tea or caffeinated packed juices but it is even more dangerous to consume when one is pregnant or trying to get pregnant (during IVF treatment).

Quit Smoking

Even one smoke can harm your body, so people who smoke on a regular basis will have a lower chance of success at conception than people who smoke. In addition, smoking affects the reproductive performance of males and females. The effect of cigarette smoking on fertility can reduce the production of sperm and the quality of eggs and sperm.

Women who smoke before or even during pregnancy increase the risk of miscarriage, preterm delivery, stillbirth, etc.

Avoid Alcohol

Men and women who are regular drinkers tend to have lower sex drive than those who dont drink. There are situations in which too much alcohol consumption can lead to erectile dysfunction in which men are not able to maintain an erection or have difficulty ejaculating.
